Assessment

Learners that want to access any ESOL provision through REACH+, will have an assessment, as a way of ensuring our students have gone through objective and accurate testing, and also to find the right course at the right level for you.

REACH+ offers a convienent way to access ESOL…

REACH+ is based across Wales. It is the first stop for ESOL learners because it works with all the ESOL providers.

How it works

Learners that want to access any ESOL provision through REACH+, will have an assessment, as a way of ensuring our students have gone through objective and accurate testing, and also to find the right course at the right level for you.

Where will I be assessed?

The assessment will take place at your chosen site, the REACH+ team will also send you a reminder before your assessment date and time, via email or text.

How long is the assessment?

The assessment will take approximately 2 hours.

What will assessment include?

The assessment will include a short interview to test your listening and speaking skills, followed by a reading and writing task. It is very important that all skills are assessed to ensure our learners are studying at the right level.

What happens after the assessment?

Once the learner has received their results, they will have a short discussion with the REACH+ team, who will explain the provision available and courses details. The aim will be to get you into some provision within a few weeks of assessment
